Megan is such a cute little teacher, obviously taking after her mommy! Sorry for the blurry picture, but I thought it was so cute to see how she grabbed 2 chairs so that she could give Molly a little instructional time with our Baby Einstein flashcards, and Megan wanted to make sure that Molly knew how to work the musical baby toy.
We also headed to the ENT today to chat about Megan's ears. I have to say it was one of those "double edge sword" scenarios. We started off with a hearing test and low and behold, my concerns about Megan's hearing and articulation were valid. She failed her hearing test for one ear, and passed the other with flying colors. They weren't too shocked when they realized how bad her current ear infection was. This is her 2nd round of antibiotics for this infection. The double edge there was... I was sad that my baby can't hear well out of one ear, but I'm also a bit relieved that my momma's intuition wasn't wrong and we now have a plan to help.
So - Megan is getting tubes in her ears in 2 weeks. I am a little nervous, but more hopeful than anything. I just pray that this will help her ears to stay infection free and that her hearing (and speech) will go back to normal asap (which is what they expect). We will go back for a follow-up and another hearing exam 2-3 weeks after the tube surgery.
And until then - please pray for her right ear to clear up. The Dr said it was a really bad infection and he was a little surprised that it wasn't already starting to clear up after 48 hours on the antibiotic. Ugh. Well my little one just woke up so I guess that ends this post!

Poor little baby girl! I'm glad that there is finally a plan in place to (hopefully) keep her infection-free. Praying for quick healing of this infection with the 2nd round of antibiotics. How cute is Miss Megan teaching Molly???
Love and miss you guys!!!
oh val, i'm sorry. i am glad you are going to get it taken care of. the surgery itself is SUPER quick. i walked down to get something to drink out of the coke machine, walked back, sat down and next thing i knew they were bringing him back in. i'll tell you more later. just know we'll be praying for you.
Teacher Megan is adorable! I'm glad that you got some answers and have the tubes scheduled because it seems like that's what she needs. We'll be praying for her!
Cole was failing all his hearing tests and then was 100% in both ears, the first hearing test after his tubes. I am hoping it is just as perfect and easy for you!!! Mitzi
