December Recap

Ahhh..... the end of 2016.

Here's a recap of the last month of the year for us.

We had lots of opportunities to go caroling!  First with American Heritage Girls...

 Then with our Homeschool Group....

We also made our traditional pilgrimage to Bethleham....

And 3 of the 4 Ga Blaisdells were singing at church for the Christmas concert.

The teacher and students went to a homeschool outing to the Fox Theater to see a performance of The Nutcracker.

The girls have been in KidsPraise and Kids Choir at church.  The two groups combined for a fun Christmas performance called The Loaned Manger. A Christmas story set in the wild west.

Once school finished out for the holidays - we were able to meet up with some of our school friends for a fun day out.

To top off the fun (I know.... how could there be more?) - we headed to Six Flags for Holiday in the Park.

Now that the kids can ride so many rides together (without us) - it's almost like a date night (almost).

And now..... we are ready for Christmas!!!!

100th birthday

It's not often you have a chance to attend a 100th birthday party.  A century!  WOW!  This December we traveled to my great aunt Orel's century celebration.

I'm telling you.... 100 looks good on Aunt Orel!

My Mom and Aunt Orel talking about all the things she's seen in her life.  She's lived through the great depression, women getting the right to vote, the first passenger planes, pearl harbor....  What is history to us, is just her life.

Fall Days

Still catching up on the blog.... this past fall we had a lot of beautiful days and fun experiences.

Twice every month, the girls have a chance to take a science class at Autry Mills Nature Center.  We've realized that we can't just leave after class.... we have to stop and feed the ducks, turtles, rabbits....
